About PCWO

NATIONAL COUNCIL OF WOMEN OF CANADA

PCWO is an affiliate of the National Council of Women of Canada, which was founded in 1893 by Lady Aberdeen.

The National Council of Women of Canada has Consultative Status (II) with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.

Since 1897, the National Council of Women of Canada has been in federation with the International Council of Women, and is one of the 72 National Councils of Women worldwide.

At the provincial level PCWO has focused on empowering women of all ages to lead and advocate for positive change in the workplace, marketplace, government and their communities.

PCWO STRUCTURE

The PCWO Board of Directors includes the Executive, Vice-Presidents in charge of specific Study Committees and Administrative Chairpersons. Similar committees in Local Councils are members of the PCWO Study Committees.
